Cardiff Half Marathon – Road closures Sunday 2nd October

By Rhys Gale 7 years ago

We will be open during this year’s Cardiff Half

This Sunday over 5,000 exclusive runners will run through the Capital causing lots of road closures as they participate in the 14th Cardiff Half Marathon with road closures in place beforehand.

The 13.1 mile race has become an iconic sporting event for the city, with runners from all over the world taking part. It is Wales’ largest fundraising event with over £2.3 million being raised for over 800 different charities and good causes.

Sadly the team here at Limegreen will not be taking part this year, however the route as always will run past our showroom. We will be open and cheering you all on as you go by, offering our hand for a well earned high five.

Road closures on race day

There are a number of road closures in place to allow for the race between 9am and 12pm so if you are heading our way or want to move around the city, it is worth checking to limit the chances of you experiencing delays.

The first runners should head down Penarth road around 10am before making their way across Penarth Marina and along the barrage. Sloper Road, Wellington Street, Leckwith Road and Penarth Road, Harbour Drive, will close at 9.00am and re-open between 12 Noon and 12 30pm.
